Lead Avionics Mechanical Engineer

Compensation : $130,000 - $180,000 / year
Description
As the Lead Avionics Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and mentoring avionics mechanical engineers, owning avionics mechanical integration for new rockets and spacecraft, analyzing thermal and dynamics environments, developing new avionics components, all while working closely with an agile team that strives to make a high-performance vehicles from a clean sheet.
Responsibilities
- Analyze loads and environments to develop thermally and structurally efficient designs
- Work closely with engineers in other departments to create globally effective solutions
- Perform hand calculations to determine appropriate member sizes
- Produce engineering drawings with required specifications for manufacturing
- Mentor other mechanical engineers on the team and uphold excellent standards
- Update designs and documentation as required
- Work with in-house manufacturing group and external suppliers to produce designs

Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options , and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan .
