What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Engineer position at IMS Fabrication Inc NC?
The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the project manager and project team with project documentation and control, job cost accounting, scheduling, and construction supervision efforts. In order to be successful, this candidate should feel comfortable taking on many tasks that require various skills, and appropriately prioritizing those tasks' completion.
Duties
- Collaborate with customers and other engineers and designers to produce a system or product design to fit the scope of work
- Generate 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings including defining and documenting manufacturing information.
Collaborate closely with internal and external manufacturing departments to ensure accurate and timely manufacturing of components.
- Create bills of materials.
- Ability to perform basic engineering calculations and to ensure designs meet required specifications and regulatory standards
- Create customer documentation such as user manuals, spare parts lists, maintenance manuals and drawings. Drawings include Mechanical assemblies, pneumatic diagrams, and hydraulic diagrams.
Qualifications
- Experience using 3D CAD system – Solidworks
- Experience using 2D CAD system - AutoCAD
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or another relevant degree or practical work experience.
- 3-5 Years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
- Previous manufacturing experience dealing with saw, burn, cut and drill technologies, sheet metal fabrication
- Demonstrate experience in previous design work.
- Fluent in the use of computers and Microsoft Office Suite. Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with ERP systems
Additional Skills:
- Ability to research and specify key components that are fit for purpose.
- Experience with mechanical piping/valve engineering and design
- Effective spoken and written communication skills
- The ability to operate both independently and in a collaborative, team environment.
- Excellent organization, prioritization, and coordination skills
- FEA software experience.
- Previous experience or exposure to ASME pressure vessel design
Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
