We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Setup / Programmer to join our dynamic team in Downers Grove, IL. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and programming CNC machines to ensure efficient production runs. Responsibilities
Set up CNC machines for production runs, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly configured.
Program CNC machines using G-code and other programming languages to meet production specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with team members to optimize machining processes and improve production workflows.
Maintain accurate records of machine setups, programming changes, and maintenance activities.
Create process drawings in AutoCAD or Solid Works
Create tooling layout sheets and setup sheets
Create work instructions for processes
Support shop floor personnel in trouble-shooting process and or quality problems to support the manufacturing team.
Ability to handle pressure and heavy workloads
Qualifications
- Proven experience in CNC programming and machine setup is required.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on equipment and tooling at least 2 years of exp.
- Familiarity with CNC tooling and machining processes with minimun 2 years.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in CNC machining is a plus.
