What are the responsibilities and job description for the Language Translator Contractor- On-Call contract position position at Imua Family Services?
Please note: This is a contract position only. It is not Full-Time or Part-Time. It is for as long as services are needed, per the contractual timeline.
Imua Family Services is looking for hourly contractor positions for individuals who can interpret one or more of the following: Spanish, Tagalog, Ilocano, Marshallese, Mandarin, Chuukese and Pohnpeian. Must currently reside on Maui. This individual will support and assist in the translation of the Infant & Child Development Program staff (ICDP). This position reports to the Clinical Director.
The Independent Contractor shall be paid at the following rates: $40.00 per hour for interpreting, translating, consultation and documentation services; and $0.50 per mile for authorized mileage for direct services related to travel and as approved. (For teleconferencing services, the Independent Contractor will not qualify for mileage)
Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience with 1 to 5 years related work experience and/or training.
- Clear Criminal Background
- Clear Child Protective Background
- Current TB clearance
Exceptions to these qualifications based on combination of education and experience requirements may be approved by the Executive Director upon receipt of approval by the appropriate State of Hawaii agency.
