IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is recruiting a PLANT DIRECTOR for our Beaumont, TX client.JOB DESCRIPTION : The Plant Director is responsible for leading the commissioning, start-up, and manufacturing operations of a new Clean Ammonia Site. The Plant Director ensures the plant meets the strategic goals and objectives of the organization, as well as the quality, safety, and environmental standards. The Plant Director manages the budget, resources, and staff of the plant, and coordinates with other departments and stakeholders to ensure optimal engagement and performance.The Plant Director will have direct oversight of Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Technology, HSE, TAR, and Capital Projects. Employment will transfer to Woodside Petroleum post start-up.Your scope of responsibilityCommissioning, start-up, and manufacturing operations of the Clean Ammonia facilityCompliance with all relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and environmental protectionDevelopment and implementation of the Site’s vision, mission, and strategy in alignment with the global organization’s goals and valuesDevelopment and implementation of manufacturing improvement initiatives to continuously improve performanceManage the Site’s budget, resources, and assets, and optimize the utilization of equipment, materials, and laborLead, motivate, and develop the Site’s staff, and foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous learningEngage effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, contractors, regulators, and senior managementQUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or equivalent10 years of relevant experience. Commissioning and start-up experience of green and / or brownfield developments are an advantageContent-driven leader that is comfortable working in a playing captain roleStrong focus on delivery with a can-do positive attitudeEngaging and empowering with strong ability to motivate the team and Site workforceAdaptable and flexible, aware of own leadership style and capable of flexing that style to suit circumstances and those they leadDeveloping other leaders, delegating effectively with controls and holding their team accountable for deliveryCapacity to look through complexity and set out direction for the organization.
