A leading manufacturer in the biopharmaceutical sector is seeking a Director of Product Management to oversee the lifecycle of stainless steel and hybrid equipment products. This strategic role focuses on driving product growth and profitability, leading a technical team, and developing innovative solutions tailored to the biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry. Reporting to the Business Unit Leader, this role combines strategy, product development, marketing, and execution to strengthen the company’s market position.

Key Responsibilities :
Product Strategy and Planning
- Define and execute the product roadmap aligned with market opportunities and business goals.
- Conduct market research, customer feedback assessments, and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for innovation.
- Perform SWOT analyses to evaluate product competitiveness and prioritize product features based on business impact.
Lifecycle Management and Performance
Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from concept to end-of-life, ensuring alignment with company objectives.Set and monitor KPIs to measure product performance and market success.Evaluate and prioritize potential product improvements to optimize ROI.Cost Management
Analyze costs related to materials, design, manufacturing, testing, and quality assurance, implementing cost-saving measures.Team Leadership and Collaboration
Lead a team of engineers and technical experts to develop and improve products.Mentor and develop team members while addressing resource needs.Collaborate across departments to resolve product-related issues and support sales, services, and projects.Training and Support
Train internal teams on product design and functionality.Provide product expertise to support sales and applications teams during the sales process.Product Development
Lead cross-functional teams, including R&D and engineering, to design and develop innovative solutions.Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory guidelines (e.g., GMP, FDA).Foster partnerships with suppliers and technology providers to enhance product offerings.Oversee scalable manufacturing processes for new products.Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.Product Marketing
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for product launches.Create compelling value propositions, positioning, and messaging tailored to customers.Partner with the sales team to develop training materials, technical documentation, and sales tools.Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and webinars to promote products and thought leadership.Education and Skills :
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).Strategic thinker with a customer-focused mindset and strong business acumen.Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.Proficient in data-driven decision-making, performance tracking, and product management tools (e.g., Agile, Lean).Qualifications :
10 years of experience in product management, development, or marketing within the biopharmaceutical industry or a related field.Proven track record of launching successful products in a B2B environment.Experience managing cross-functional teams and complex projects.Strong knowledge of biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes and equipment (e.g., fermenters, bioreactors, filtration, chromatography, CIP, single-use systems).Ability to travel as required.This is a unique opportunity to lead a critical product line, drive innovation, and make a significant impact on a growing organization in the biopharmaceutical manufacturing space.
