IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is seeking a Maintenance – Reliability Engineer for our client, a global leader in chemical manufacturing. This is a strategic role focused on improving equipment reliability, optimizing maintenance programs, and ensuring long-term mechanical integrity across the plant.
POSITION OVERVIEW
This engineer will lead reliability improvement initiatives by analyzing performance data, identifying root causes of failures, and implementing sustainable solutions. The role will also drive mechanical integrity compliance and lead preventative maintenance efforts. This opportunity offers high impact, strong visibility, and career advancement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
🔧 Reliability & Maintenance Leadership
- Analyze equipment data, identify recurring failures, and implement corrective actions
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) sessions and reliability review meetings
- Track and improve key metrics such as Mean Time Between Repair (MTBR)
🛠 Mechanical Integrity & Preventative Maintenance
- Oversee the Mechanical Integrity (MI) program to ensure regulatory compliance and plant safety
- Manage preventative maintenance and inspection programs
- Coordinate planned maintenance, inspections, and site audits
📊 Project & Compliance Management
- Support small capital projects (up to $150K)
- Drive cost reduction initiatives across the site
- Participate in PHA, MOC, and incident investigations
- Ensure alignment with ISO 9000 and company safety standards
QUALIFICATIONS
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 7 years in chemical manufacturing, with hands-on equipment knowledge (pumps, vessels, compressors, piping, etc.)
- Experience with mechanical integrity programs and reliability best practices
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and leadership skills
- Familiarity with SAP or similar maintenance systems preferred
