A global leader in chemical manufacturing is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead safe, reliable, and cost-effective maintenance operations at its Greater Cleveland production site. This high-impact role is responsible for aligning maintenance strategies with business goals, driving reliability improvements, and developing high-performing teams. The position oversees a $40MM–$50MM maintenance budget, with 6 direct reports and 160 indirect team members.
💡 Key Responsibilities
Safety & Compliance
✔ Champion safety culture, life-saving rules, and process safety practices
✔ Ensure all assets meet design and regulatory requirements
✔ Lead hazard assessments and maintain robust safety systems
Maintenance & Reliability
✔ Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs
✔ Manage reactor overhauls, spare parts planning, and lifecycle reliability
✔ Drive RCA and reliability initiatives to eliminate recurring failures
Budget & Performance Optimization
✔ Manage a ~$50MM annual maintenance budget
✔ Monitor KPIs and drive cost-effective, data-informed decisions
✔ Collaborate with procurement and cross-functional teams to optimize spending
Leadership & Team Development
✔ Lead, coach, and develop a team of 6 direct and 160 indirect staff
✔ Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability
✔ Partner with Ops, SHE, and Engineering to deliver site goals
🧠 What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (technical degree preferred)
- 10 years of experience in manufacturing, with a focus on maintenance or operations
- Proven leadership in high-volume industrial environments
- Expertise in reliability engineering, maintenance systems, and regulatory compliance (PSM, ISO, API)
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office; Six Sigma is a plus
