IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Reliability Engineer - Fixed Equipment for a chemical manufacturing client in Philadelphia, PA (Frankford area).
Role Overview:
The Reliability Engineer will focus on ensuring the safe and efficient operation of fixed equipment in the plant. The position involves working with Maintenance Engineers, Project Engineers, and plant personnel to drive reliability improvements and troubleshoot equipment issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze equipment failures to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Develop and implement Reliability Control Plans for various equipment classes
- Oversee preventive maintenance (PM) and repair documentation
- Work with vendors and technical consultants to improve equipment reliability
- Draft maintenance job plans and update maintenance records
- Prepare technical reports on failures, repairs, and improvements
- Track and report plant reliability metrics
- Assist with troubleshooting and equipment performance optimization
- Ensure design-for-maintainability in new installations and upgrades
- Participate in Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) activities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field
- 5 years of maintenance/reliability experience in chemical/petrochemical plants
- Preferred: Six Sigma Green Belt, Root Cause Failure Analysis, experience in a leadership role
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and technical skills
- Experience with SAP, Microsoft Office, and Preventive/Predictive Maintenance systems
- Ability to work in an industrial environment (e.g., climbing ladders, confined spaces)
