A prominent Manufacturer in the Stow/Kent/Akron area is in search of a Materials & Process Engineer with aerospace and extensive metals experience to join their team- DIRECT HIRE.
Responsible for continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. Works with production management, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify process activities to support customer requirements. Implement new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and affect greater utilization of labor and materials. Participate in NADCAP audits.
- Develop and maintain the process standards in which all parts are manufactured.
- Review production and operating records and resolves technical processing issues.
- Follow established action plans for processes out of range.
- Specify project management and buy off of new equipment.
- Manage exploration of new materials and processes in order to achieve the best quality, process, and reliability.
- Verify and apply narrow ranges for optimum processes to meet customer expectations.

- Compile data and analyze past and current information in order to assist in the preparation of the budget and reduce operational costs.
- Work with tool shops for all tool repairs and maintenance.
- Maintain documentation closely, following necessary timelines on specific projects.

Required Education and Experience Level:
- Bachelor's Level Degree in Chemistry / Manufacturing / Mechanical Engineering, or similar.
- Equivalent work experience may also be considered for certain positions.
- 10 Minimum Years of Experience with materials & process in the aerospace industry
- Ability to read and understand industry and customer specifications for materials, machining, heat treat, NDT, plating, coating, shot peen, anodize and paint.
- Master-root cause troubleshooting with problem solving.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook with the ability to build and manipulate data in spreadsheets
- Support BOM & Method validation for product realization
- Ability to view and interpret 3D models.
- Desire to be hands on and overcome challenges that arise on a daily basis
Salary : $100,000 - $150,000
