Job Description
As a Day Habilitation Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing daily support to adults with IDD. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assisting individuals in reaching their full potential through community integration and socialization.
- Developing and implementing individualized plans to promote independence and choice.
- Providing comprehensive, active programming for individuals served, including recreational and volunteer activities.
- Transporting participants to and from day services using the agency van.
Additional requirements include:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Acceptable driver's license based on insurance company regulations.
- Pass NYS and OPWDD background clearances.
- Attend In Flight orientation located in Red Hook.
