- Increases based on : Experience-. .25- $1.00Education- .50- $1.50 As a Direct Support Professional in the Day Hab, you will be instrumental in providing daily support for adults with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities. You will be an essential part in assisting in achieving goals, promoting independence, encouraging socialization, and providing opportunities for community integration. This is a 40-hour Monday- Friday, 8am-4pm position. No required weekends and holidays off. Assisting individuals in reaching their potential through community integration.Assist with program planning and training toward the goals of independence and choice.Work assisting people served in becoming self-sufficient, self-advocating, self-driven, self-actualized individuals.Provide a full day of comprehensive, active programming for individuals served.Community integration to do both recreation and volunteer activities.Must be able to effectively drive the agency van to transport participants to and from day services.Assist our participants to explore and develop experiences that provide them with a good quality of life by planning and implementing a monthly activity schedule.Will act as a professional role model for the individuals, will maintain a professional manner and presentation at all times. .Follow and implement agency practices in accordance with each Individuals Individual Plan of Protective Oversight.Follow all NYS and OPWDD regulations regarding working with IDD populations.
