Our Direct Support Professionals play a critical role in helping our clients achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.
As a Direct Support Professional, your primary responsibility will be to provide individualized support and care to our clients.
This may involve assisting with daily routines, such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation, as well as implementing community integration and involvement plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of our clients
- Complete Residential Habilitation documentation in a timely manner
- Provide nutritious meals and encourage participation in food preparation
- Implement daily routines, including chores, housekeeping, and maintenance of ADL kits
- Assist with personal care and health-related needs
- Address crisis situations and medical emergencies according to agency policy
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and pass NYS and OPWDD background clearances.
You should also possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to document and track information.
