What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director position at In Good Hands Learning Center?
Childcare directors assist and follow directives from the childcare director or owner of a childcare facility. The director has to organize, coordinate and maintain the center and its programs for students to learn and be care for. The assistant must be able to interact with children and parents on a day-to-day basis and should be able to deal with unexpected situations that pertain to students, parents and staff.
A childcare assistant director will be faced with multiple duties, including assisting the director in running the day-to-day operations of the center and also filling in for the director when necessary. The assistant should understand and comply with the center’s rules as well as state and federal laws and regulations, maintain records of the building’s administration in accordance to federal, state and local laws, prepare summary reports for the center, process inspection and accident reports, be familiar with the procedures of reporting suspected child abuse to Child Protective Services, handle all issues and concerns from parents, handle parent/teacher conferences and conduct center tours with parents.
