Special Needs Caregiver

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated caregiver to provide support and companionship for our son, who has Down syndrome. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children or adults with Down syndrome and/or autism, and possess the patience and understanding to create a positive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support with daily routines and personal care as needed
• Foster a safe and nurturing atmosphere
• Communicate effectively with our son and encourage social interaction
• Follow any specific care guidelines we provide

Qualifications:

• Experience caring for individuals with Down syndrome and/or autism
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Ability to be flexible with scheduling
• First aid/CPR certification is a plus

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 15 per week

Schedule:

• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)

Work Location: In person

Salary : $15 - $20
