Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support clients with mobility and physical activities to promote independence.
- Monitor and report changes in clients' health status to the healthcare team.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
- Document care provided and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to emergency medicine, medical-surgical care, and other relevant areas.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar role within a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with various medical environments such as inpatient care, outpatient services, or specialized units like PICU or OR is advantageous.
- Knowledge of working within Level I or Level II Trauma Centers is a plus.
- A background in geriatrics or experience working with elderly populations is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team are essential.
