What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cleaning Attendants position at In-House Opportunities - Please select a location before applying?
- Must be able to withstand and function in a well-paced exertive environment for periods of up to (4) hours at a time.
- Will be cleaning and polishing Casino fixtures and miscellaneous surfaces as needed.
- Will clean and disinfect all Casino restrooms. This will include the walls, dividers, stalls, urinals, toilet bowls, wash basins, mirrors, trash receptacles and the floors.
- The restrooms are continually cleaned and checked throughout your shift.
- The supplies are to be kept stocked (paper towels, toilet tissue, seat covers, sanitary napkin liners, hand soaps light bulbs and any chemicals needed).
- Sweep, mop and vacuum Casino floors including the Steakhouse and Café. Any special cleaning that may be needed concerning the floors (shampooing or wax applications) shall also be a Porter job duty.
- The Administration offices, employee break room, key tracer room, soft count room and employee restrooms shall also be included and apply to floor cleaning duties.
- All tiled floors will be swept and mopped; this would include (entrances, around the cage area and the entrance to the steakhouse.
- Wash all Casino windows; this will include administrative office windows. All mirrors and other glass areas (doors, etc.) throughout the Casino are to be kept clean.
- Detailing the bases of the windows and mirrors, removing any build-up of dust, debris and smoke.
- All window sills are to be kept clear of dust, spillage etc. this is to include base boards and decorative edging.
- Empty and maintain all trash receptacles, keeping both the inside and outside of the receptacles clean.
- Offices, break areas, key tracer room, soft count room and the outside receptacles are included and are to be kept emptied and clean.
- Receptacles are to be double bagged unless otherwise directed, this will include all bar receptacles.
- All waste shall be transferred to the proper disposal area and disposed of.
- Cleaning and/or polishing all slot machines and other equipment or machines (ATM’s, Kiosk, William Hill Sports Book etc.)
- Slot machine chairs both vinyl and cloth shall be kept clean. Wiping down vinyl chairs on a regular basis and shampooing cloth chairs as needed.
- Chair legs and round or flat pedestals are kept clean and free of debris and spillage.
- Sides of slot machines around trash receptacles kept wiped down and/or polished.
- Empty and clean ashtrays, wiping them out and cleaning the bottoms. Washing the ashtrays as needed.
- This must be done continually throughout your shift. Making sure to wipe up any ashes that have spilled onto the machines, chairs or floor.
- Keeping all Casino entrances clean of any debris, waste, cigarette butts and spillage. Emptying trash receptacles and keeping outside ashtrays clean.
- Will keep all parking lots picked up of any and all debris. Walking Casino grounds and checking for waste around the gazebos and break areas.
- This is to include shoveling snow as needed and keeping ice cleared away.
- Ice melt will be applied to walk ways, entrance ways and parking areas. High traffic areas are to be continuously monitored throughout your shift.
- Must be able to clean up human waste and other potentially hazardous waste materials.
- Clean up of Blood Borne Pathogens and understanding the correct procedures for doing so. Must follow company policy and procedures in the clean-up of these types of waste or materials. Training will be provided.
- Must be able to work with all types of chemicals and understand the proper usage of them. Wearing the provided gloves throughout your shift for protection against possible harmful chemical burns or other types of hazards.
- Must be able to follow directions for the mixing of any chemicals. Must familiarize yourself with the SDS (Safety Data Sheet) binder for Porters. This binder is OSHA compliant and OSHA mandated.
- It is the individual Team member’s responsibility to check the Porter binder for new memos, weekly meeting sheets, schedules or other memo’s that may have been newly placed into effect.
- This binder is to be checked daily. The binder also includes the daily Porter Job Duty Checklist that is to be completed each scheduled shift by each on shift Porter. There will be numerous agendas etc. that will require your signature- all of these are mandatory.
- Pass down sheets are logs for team members to use as a means of communication to pass information on from one shift to another. It will be viewed daily in order to know what may need done or to note that it has been completed on another shift.
- This paperwork will be checked daily by each Porter and monitored by your Supervisor/Manager.
- All Team members are required to clock in and out on a hand scan system. The Team member must properly clock in and out for their lunch break. The Team member is NOT required to clock in or out for their two (2) ten minute breaks.
- May be required to climb ladders to clean mirrors, windows, walls and change light bulbs or Casino and bathroom wall mounted deodorizers.
- Will complete other duties as assigned.
