Bus Attendant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Bus Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of students during their transportation to and from school. This position requires a proactive individual who can effectively communicate with parent and staff members.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students while they are boarding and disembarking the bus, ensuring their safety at all times.
• Assist students with special needs or those requiring additional support during transit.
• Manage student behavior effectively, promoting a positive environment on the bus.
• Communicate clearly with students, parents, and school staff regarding any concerns or incidents.
• Provide first aid assistance when necessary and maintain a safe environment for all passengers.
• Collaborate with staff to support individual student needs.

Skills

• Strong communication skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Experience working with students in an educational or childcare setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques to maintain order on the bus.
• Familiarity with classroom dynamics and the ability to adapt to various learning needs.
• Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs requirements.
• First aid certification is a must, ensuring preparedness for any emergencies that may occur during transport.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends
