DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMS

General Responsibilities
The Director of Programs is responsible for the overall compliance and implementation of the programming aspect of In My Shoes as it relates to the services the residents receive during their stay and post-graduation from the program.
Programs Team Leadership and Staff Development
o Lead weekly Programs Team Meetings and communicate organization initiatives clearly
o Provide direct supervision and support to the Individual Counselor, Empowerment Support Specialist, and Mission Staff
o Schedule personal and professional development for Mission Staff by utilizing internal and external resources to ensure the Mission Staff is properly trained
o When needed, assist in mediation among residents and/or Mission Staff
o Coordinate strategic initiatives with the Leadership Team
o Manage and stay within annual programming budget
o Conduct annual reviews for all direct reports in collaboration with Human Resources
o Oversee efficient and thorough intake process and onboarding of new residents
Programming and Resource Development
o Evaluate current program and refine as needed based on best practices, core values, and strategic anchors
o Participate in and seek out continuing education opportunities to ensure IMS remains up to date on best practices for the services and programs offered
o Refine policies and procedures as needed
o Lead programmatic strategic planning based on program metrics and best practices
o Coordinate group counseling schedules and communicate with the counselor as needed to ensure services are appropriate and effective
o Coordinate class scheduling with third-party agencies
o Oversee alumnae mom programming, including outreach, evaluation, and transitional housing options
o Track and monitor program outcomes and impact, collecting data to measure success and identify areas for improvement
o Comply with data and reporting with external agencies, such as Dallas Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) and LEO research study
o Provide programmatic and data reports to Board and Director of Donor Advising for grant purposes as needed
o Be part of the on-call rotation for house emergencies
o Community Outreach: Network with other agencies in the area to increase community awareness of In My Shoes, build relationships with potential community partners

Professional Qualifications
· A bachelor’s degree, master’s preferred, in social work, counseling, or psychology
· Five years of experience as a manager preferred
· Strong verbal & written communication and project management skills
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
· Commitment to making ethical and responsible decisions
· Excellent interpersonal, facilitation and consulting skills. Ability to assess needs, influence, collaborate, deliver and partner at the most senior levels in the organization.
· A background in social work is preferred, especially relating to maternity housing
Key Performance Indicators
· Increase mom average matrix score to 3.7 upon exit
· Consistently achieve 225 days average stay for moms since 2020
· Maintain 75% occupancy rate in the home at all times
· Moms have consistent Tuesday evening/Thursday morning/evening classes 80% of the time
· Programming expenses stay within budget
· 100% of quarterly reports prepared ahead of board meetings

· Reimbursement of up to $400/month for a health insurance plan of your choice (up to $600 with one dependent, and up to $800 with two or more dependents)

· Mileage reimbursement for eligible travel
· 15 vacation days per year, plus 9 paid holidays (New Year's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (2 days), Christmas Eve and Christmas Day) and 5 sick days (vacation days prorated for partial years of employment)
Salary : $60,000 - $75,000
