Financial Analyst II

We have an excellent opportunity for a Financial Analyst II on the Financial Planning Business Analysis Team (FPBA).

Reporting to the Financial Planning Analysis Supervisor, the Financial Analyst II is responsible for performing comprehensive financial analysis to support the Company’s financial objectives. This position involves complex analysis and requires a deeper understanding of financial principles and advanced analytical skills. The Financial Analyst II will collaborate with various departments, contribute to financial planning and strategy, and provide actionable insights for senior management.

• This position is full-time, in-office only

General Responsibilities

Advanced Financial Analysis:

• Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and profitability analysis.
• Develop and maintain complex financial models to forecast financial performance and assess potential impacts of business decisions.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Prepare detailed financial reports, including periodic, quarterly, and annual summaries.
• Create ad-hoc reports and presentations for senior management and other stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and clarity.

Budgeting:

• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets in partnership with other departments
• Monitor performance, analyze variances, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.

Data Management and Interpretation:

• Gather, analyze, and interpret large sets of financial data to support decision-making.
• Utilize advanced Excel functions and Oracle to enhance data accuracy and analysis.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with other departments to provide analytical support.
• Serve as a point of contact for financial inquiries and facilitate communication between finance and other departments.

Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities and recommend improvements to financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy.

Work Schedule Benefits

• Full-time position, Exempt
• Pay Range is $86,500-$101,825
  The above represents the expected pay range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we will consider your experience and other job-related factors.
• Office Hours in Irvine, CA: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis or a related field, with demonstrated expertise in financial modeling and analysis.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a strong ability to interpret and analyze complex financial data
• Proficiency in advanced Excel functions and financial software (e.g., Oracle).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in multi-unit restaurant or retail organization
• Knowledge of Oracle Smartview.
• Proven track record in contributing to financial strategy and planning.
