JOB SUMMARY:
The Creative Director leads the creative vision, strategy, and execution of all brand and marketing initiatives across digital and traditional channels. This role ensures brand consistency while pushing creative boundaries to elevate the member experience, drive engagement, and support business growth. The Creative Director will lead a team of designers and freelancers, fostering an innovative and collaborative environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Brand Strategy & Positioning:
- Develop and implement creative strategies aligned with business and marketing objectives.
- Lead the development and evolution of the brand’s visual and verbal identity, ensuring consistency with brand standards while driving innovation.
- Translate business goals into compelling creative concepts that resonate with target audiences.
- Champion the brand while encouraging fresh, innovative approaches to strengthen brand presence.
Target Audience & Data-Driven Creative Decisions:
- Gain deep understanding of the health club industry’s target audience, including motivations and behaviors, to inform creative strategies.
- Implement a test-and-learn approach, utilizing data and performance metrics to refine creative efforts.
- Leverage insights to develop high-impact marketing campaigns that drive member engagement, retention, and acquisition.
Campaign Development & Execution:
- Oversee and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional platforms (social media, web, radio, print, out-of-home, in-club signage, and point-of-purchase (POP) materials).
- Ensure creative quality control, maintaining brand standards and meeting business objectives.
- Direct large-scale, cross-functional projects, effectively managing timelines, budgets, and deliverables effectively.
- Guarantee final creative assets meet high standards of accuracy, attention to detail, and production quality.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of designers, copywriters, and content creators to produce best-in-class creative work.
- Provide clear direction, feedback, and coaching to develop a high-performing creative team.
- Cultivate a collaborative, innovative, and fun work culture that encourages risk-taking and professional growth.
- Build strong relationships across departments, acting as a trusted advisor on creative and branding matters.
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and design innovations to continuously evolve the brand’s creative expression.

Requirements
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of creative leadership experience, preferably in the fitness, health, or lifestyle industries.
- Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in digital and traditional design, branding, and marketing campaigns.
- Experience managing and developing creative teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant design tools.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across teams.
- Adaptable to changing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Demonstrates good judgment, confidentiality, and diplomacy in handling sensitive information.

- Willingness to travel 10% of the time for monthly visits to clubs with regional leaders

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently required to walk and stand up to 8 hours/day and/or sit for extended periods of time. Team members are occasionally required to use hands and fingers for handle or feel; occasional reach, push and pulling with arms and hands; occasional climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and occasionally reach and twist, including side-to-side movements. Team members working in the clubs may be required to occasionally lift, carry or move up to 25 pounds and may seldom be required to lift, carry or move 26-50 pounds.
