JOB SUMMARY:
The Email & SMS Marketing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and executing all member engagement, prospect, and former member campaigns via email and SMS. This position provides support to the Manager, CRM Marketing and Analytics and requires a strong understanding of email best practices, excellent organizational skills, and experience deploying emails and SMS through enterprise email service providers (ESPs) like Braze or similar tools.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Email and SMS Program Execution: execute the lifecycle of email and SMS campaigns with the current platform, Braze (ESP SMS), for all member communications including, but not limited to, newsletters, events, new fitness programs, sports programs. The goal is to enhance member engagement to improve retention, club usage, event attendance, and upselling premium membership offerings.
- Campaign Ownership: Act as the campaign owner for member engagement, former members and prospect emails and SMS campaigns. Create and execute member engagement Email & SMS campaigns, analyze key metrics and generate reports for stakeholders.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all campaigns adhere to TCPA compliance and CAN-SPAM regulations.
- ESP Utilization: Leverage ESP functionalities to develop, optimize, and analyze campaigns for maximum effectiveness.
- Drip Campaigns and Customer Experience: Assist in designing and implementing strategic drip campaigns to enhance customer engagement and optimize user experience. Provide actionable insights to improve campaign effectiveness based on campaign performance reports.
- Design and Layout: Review and provide feedback on layout and design on email and SMS content to ensure it is visually appealing, aligns with brand guidelines, and drives conversion.
- Data-Driven Analytics: Track key metrics, generate detailed performance reports, and provide insights to enhance future campaigns, in partnership with Manager.
- Email Database Management: Maintain healthy email segments, collaborate with IT to ensure necessary data is available in Braze, and monitor deliverability with email providers such as Gmail, Yahoo, and Outlook.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with Marketing, Fitness, IT, Operations, FP&A, and agency partners to align strategies and improve campaign execution.
- Innovation and Adaptability: Stay updated on the email marketing ecosystem and Braze platform features, employing best practices and make strategy recommendations aligned with industry trends.

Requirements
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in email and SMS marketing, including campaign execution and analysis.
- Understanding of TCPA compliance and CAN-SPAM regulations.
- Ability to use email service provider tools for coding, deploying, and analyzing campaigns.
- Experience in developing and executing strategic drip campaigns.
- Working knowledge of Google Analytics and other reporting platforms.
- Keen eye for layout, design, and visual aesthetics in email and SMS content
- Knowledge of best practices of email and SMS marketing management.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work professionally and effectively with people at all levels of the organization with physical locations spread throughout the portfolio.
- Ability to work with interruptions, changing priorities, and a busy work environment with tight deadlines.
- Displays good judgment, confidentiality, and diplomacy in handling important company information and communicating with others.
- Demonstrated work experience showing attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented person who can follow procedures and maintain a structured work environment.
- Reliability and desire to learn new things are a must for this position.
- Solid skills with computers, processes, email, and desktop applications are a must.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently required to walk and stand up to 8 hours/day and/or sit for extended periods of time. Team members working in the clubs may be exposed to cleaning chemicals or airborne particles and will be required to wear designated PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as directed. Team members are occasionally required to use hands and fingers for handle or feel; occasional reach, push and pulling with arms and hands; occasional climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and occasionally reach and twist, including side-to-side movements. Team members working in the clubs may be required to occasionally lift, carry or move up to 25 pounds and may seldom be required to lift, carry or move 26-50 pounds.
