SUMMARY :

The Brand Manager at In-Shape is a dynamic and influential role that combines creativity and strategy to drive the company's growth and evolution in the competitive fitness industry. As an integral member of the Marketing team, this position oversees critical projects and initiatives that shape the In-Shape experience across all channels. The Brand Manager is tasked with elevating member engagement, increasing lifetime value, and articulating the brand's essence in every touchpoint. The role demands a blend of creative vision and analytical acumen, requiring the ability to craft compelling brand narratives while maintaining a focus on profitability and measurable results. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on In-Shape's market position, brand equity, and overall business growth. By balancing innovation with data-driven decision-making, the Brand Manager will play a pivotal role in steering In-Shape's evolution and cementing its status as a leader in the health and wellness sector.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Brand Strategy and Positioning :

  • Develop and execute innovative brand strategies and elevate awareness, equity, and market preference.
  • Safeguard brand integrity across all customer touchpoints, ensuring consistent messaging and visual identity.
  • Conduct comprehensive competitive analysis and market research to identify opportunities for differentiation and growth.

Audience Engagement :

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of target audience.
  • Implement feedback mechanisms and conduct targeted surveys to evaluate marketing program effectiveness with target audience.
  • Champion a data-driven, test-and-learn approach to continuously enhance audience engagement and campaign performance.
  • Campaign Development and Execution :

  • Lead planning and execution of partner marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with the brand's objectives, such as recreational programs, sports programming, kids, retail, and non-digital media campaigns.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with the internal teams and external agencies to develop creative assets.
  • Maintain and optimize the brand calendar to ensure cohesive efforts and alignment of initiatives with key business objectives.
  • Manage campaign timelines and budgets, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Conduct post-campaign analytics for all campaigns to evaluate effectiveness and inform future strategies.
  • Product Ideation :

  • Drive innovation by contributing to new product ideation and development.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure new offerings align with brand vision and capitalize on market trends.
  • Creative Development :

  • Craft compelling marketing and creative briefs for the internal teams that bring key brand moments, product launches, and product initiatives to life.
  • Contribute to brainstorming, concept development, presentation, and marketing plan execution.
  • Identify opportunities and potential blind spots in the competitive landscape to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee creative briefs for all non-digital marketing efforts, including radio and out-of-home advertising.
  • Ensure a consistent and engaging brand voice across all marketing assets.
  • Event and Partnership Marketing :

  • Conceptualize, plan and execute impactful brand-focused events, sponsorships, and partnerships to boost visibility and engagement.
  • Identify and negotiate partnerships that align with brand values and enhance member connection.
  • Lead the execution of annual cause marketing campaigns, such as the Fight Cancer Campaign.
  • In-Club Marketing :

  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for in-club marketing signage.
  • Manage relationships with print vendors, overseeing club distribution and communication in partnership with internal teams.
  • Agency and Vendor Management :

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with creative agencies, freelancers, and production vendors to ensure delivery of high-quality assets.
  • Develop and oversee creative briefs that guide external partners in aligning their work with brand objectives and standards.
  • Budget and Reporting :

  • Manage marketing budget for assigned initiatives.
  • Oversee monthly marketing budget reconciliation for the entire Marketing team.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports on key initiatives and KPIs monthly to senior management, providing strategic insights and recommendations.

    Requirements

    REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3 years marketing / product management experience;
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, analysis and the ability to work across multiple teams.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority, be comfortable with coordinating various opinions and personalities, develop trust and mutual respect with various levels within the organization.
  • Strong problem solving skills with the ability to critically analyze and tackle problems and present viable solutions.
  • Strong computer skills : PC, Adobe Acrobat, MS Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; InDesign and Photoshop experience a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across teams.
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrates good judgment, confidentiality, and diplomacy in handling sensitive information.

  • WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

    While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently required to walk and stand up to 8 hours / day and / or sit for extended periods of time. Team members are occasionally required to use hands and fingers for handle or feel; occasional reach, push and pulling with arms and hands; occasional climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and occasionally reach and twist, including side-to-side movements. Team members working in the clubs may be required to occasionally lift, carry or move up to 25 pounds and may seldom be required to lift, carry or move 26-50 pounds.
