Salary Range: $95,000 - $120,000 depending on experience
Location: Fort Collins, CO with travel expectations at 50-60%
Description
As part of our continued drive to provide solutions to the wide and complex problems that our customers face, In-Situ is looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to support our provision of customized products.
This will primarily be focused on our Municipal markets using our UV Series range of analyzer and Sequencer systems but does encompass our entire product range. The right candidate will be capable and willing to engage with our customers from the design phase of the project, work with the Sales Team to define and present the solution and then coordinate the production, delivery and installation of the system.
This will involve a willingness to travel to customer sites and a readiness to become an expert in the capabilities (and limitations) of our solutions.

Primary Responsibilities
Sales Support:
- Work with the Sales Team to meet with and understand customers issues.
- Review Project Plans and Specifications to assist Sales in the preparation of product and 3rd party quotations.
- Create system level diagrams for large projects.
Operations Support:
- Check and Support Manufacturing Release Definitions for Custom Products.
- Manage 3rd party product definitions, purchasing, delivery and support.
- Maintain 3rd party relationships.
- Prepare RFQs, P.O.s and manage the delivery of 3rd party components.
- Define/document product configuration.
- Prepare Custom Submittal Packages for Projects.
- Prepare Custom Operations and Maintenance Manuals per project specifications.
Product Management Support
- Prepare and manage standard submittal packages.
- Create Technical Documents for Engineers/Contractors post-sale evaluation.
- Manage SF.com creation of these documents.
- Prepare and manage product 2-D and 3-D CAD models for Engineers and Customers.
Service Support:
- Support Field Service Teams during installation/commissioning.
- Provide documentation for ongoing maintenance of non-standard products.
- Support/co-ordinate 3rd party products through warranty period.
Position Qualifications
- A Degree level qualification in Engineering, Chemistry or similar discipline.
- Must have experience working with and in the Analytical Instrumentation industry in US Municipal Markets.
- 5 years of experience in engineering, instrumentation, or project design.
- Applicant must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Applicant must hold a valid Passport for international travel.
Required Skills
- Technical understanding of Water and Wastewater treatment processes.
- Experience in project management
- Ability to use 2D and 3D modelling software to produce customer facing documentation.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Mature team skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships and communications
- Ambitious and open to learn and adapt
- High attention to detail and thoroughness in a multitask environment
- Strong time management skills
- Positive attitude with ability to accept continuous improvements to processes
- Proficiency and accuracy with PC based application software including Microsoft suite of products, CRM systems and ERP systems
Working Environment/Physical Activities:
- 50% travel.
- Lifting, bending, reaching, squatting, walking, sitting.
- Ability to traverse natural environments.
- Ability to lift at least 20 lbs.

Compensation: Compensation will be commensurate with the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as alignment with market data and internal benchmarks.
- Salary Range: $ 95,000-$120,000
