My client are a small but mighty IT service provider based in Austin, TX, dedicated to empowering businesses with tailored IT solutions. As our client look to grow to fulfil their cuystomers needs and offer high level solutions, they are on the lookout for a talented 3rd Line Systems Engineer to join the team and lead exciting IT projects.
Responsibilities:
As a 3rd Line Project Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing IT projects for clients.
- Leading the delivery of complex IT infrastructure projects, from planning to completion.
- Troubleshooting and resolving 3rd line technical issues across networks, servers, and cloud environments.
- Configuring, migrating, and optimizing systems and services, including Office 365, Azure, and on-premise environments.
- Collaborating with clients to understand their needs and tailor solutions to exceed expectations.
- Providing mentorship to 1st and 2nd line engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise.
Experience required:
- Proven experience in a 3rd Line or similar senior IT support/engineering role.
- Expertise in Windows Server environments, virtualization (Hyper-V/VMware), and networking (DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure).
- A passion for learning and staying ahead of tech trends.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with clients and teammates.
- Ability to deal with tickets escalated from 1st and 2nd line.
