Position Overview:
We are actively searching for a passionate and skilled Access and CCTV Technician to enhance our teams across select locations. This role presents a unique opportunity to apply your IT skills in a diverse setting, contributing significantly to our client's success. Ideal candidates can troubleshoot, diagnose and repair electronic access control equipment and hardware. This role also requires a solid understanding of computer networking, remote access software, and the ability to read schematics.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Execute preventative maintenance tasks to maximize application availability and identity system faults.
- Perform routine configuration changes (user permissions, application configuration, etc.)
- Work individually and as a team to diagnose and resolve application issues
- Respond to trouble tickets to ensure application uptime and system performance
- Perform pre-deployment end to end testing of all upgrades and major modifications
- Technical Troubleshooting: Provide expert onsite and remote technical support, diagnosing and resolving issues swiftly to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
- Work closely with construction teams and external vendors to ensure our technological needs are met and exceeded.
- Assist with programming existing systems, system integrations, and support for new installations, offering solutions that drive our mission forward.
- Lead the charge in proactive work, focusing on system maintenance, backups, and upgrades to preempt potential issues.
- Respond promptly and professionally to after-hours emergency calls and requests as needed, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in service.
- Work closely with Field Services Manager and assist in the overall coordination of specific projects; identify ways to continuously improve customer satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards during installations
Required Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience in physical security, fire alarm, or low voltage communication industry, installing field devices, and system programming.
- Familiarity with leading security and access control systems. Specific product knowledge is a plus.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of computer networks, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, gateways, routers, and switches.
- Strong problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and a customer-first attitude.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or technical schooling preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints, diagrams, and manuals.
- Must be legally authorized to work and have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Familiarity with the installation of alarm systems and CCTV is a plus!
- Experience with IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems) is a plus!
