Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Crew Members to join our team. As a Crew general Laborer, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for our clients. You will be responsible for various tasks, including brush removal, saw operations, chipper operation and moving green waste to recycling facility. Crew must be excellent in maintaining professionalism and assisting customers with their mitigation needs. If you have a passion for the forest and the homes in/near it you can make a difference working here. Firefighter training is a requirement but will be provided as needed. Duties
- Provide outstanding customer service by answering client questions and following their instructions for mitigation.
- Operate some power tools as needed.
- Operate hand tools as needed.
- Does general swamping work in a non-emergency setting.
- Provides quality work safely.
- Good teamwork and clear communication are a must.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy/ more hazardous and loud jobs.
- Uses safety equipment as instructed per OSHA guidelines.
- Follow all safety and natural mitigation instructions fully.
- Understand that this is an opportunity to get firefighter training but it is not a fire department or fire service.
- Landscaping as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous experience in wildland urban interface firefighting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools is strongly encouraged.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work safely with a team necessary.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to work in a variety of austere environments outdoors.
- Some work is loud, outside, in inclement weather, or in other hazardous conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, move, lift, bend and pull for extended periods required.
- PRN and part-time welcome.
- Training provided.
