We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Manager with extensive experience in leading technical project delivery teams and managing Power BI development within a data-driven environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Power BI, PySpark, and data engineering, along with the ability to guide a team of BI engineers through complex projects. This role requires a mix of leadership, hands-on technical expertise, and strategic insight to optimize BI solutions and enhance business intelligence capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage technical project delivery teams, including BI and data engineers, by assigning tasks, tracking progress, and providing hands-on technical guidance.
Oversee Power BI development and architecture, ensuring best practices, performance optimization, and enterprise-level implementation.
Provide strategic direction on data modeling, visualization, and report development to drive business insights.
Work with PySpark and data engineering teams to optimize data pipelines and enhance Power BI integration.
Optimize Power BI performance using tools such as DAX Studio, ALM Toolkit, Tabular Editor, and capacity metrics analysis.
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines and Git for version control and streamlined deployment.
Drive the adoption of cutting-edge Power BI features, including TMDL (Tabular Model Definition Language) and external tool integrations.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver scalable, data-driven solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve Power BI-related challenges, ensuring high availability and reliability.
Required Qualifications:
Extensive experience in Power BI development, administration, and optimization.
Proven team management and leadership experience in BI and data engineering projects.
Strong background in data engineering, including PySpark and scalable data processing techniques.
Hands-on expertise in Power BI performance tuning, capacity planning, and optimization strategies.
Experience with enterprise-level Power BI implementations, including advanced data modeling and visualization techniques.
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git version control, and automated deployment strategies.
Familiarity with TMDL (Tabular Model Definition Language) and Power BI external tools is a major plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in large-scale BI environments with complex datasets.
In-depth knowledge of Power BI connection modes, including Direct Query and Direct Lake.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, consulting-oriented environment.
