Key Responsibilities
- Achieve Sales Goals: Meet or exceed net sales targets for assigned national accounts.
- Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with decision-makers at national pet food retailers.
- Data-Driven Insights: Analyze and leverage category data (e.g., IRI, Nielsen) to identify trends, uncover opportunities, and drive sales growth.
- Custom Strategies: Develop and execute tailored annual promotional and activation plans for each account.
- Collaborative Growth: Partner with the USA Sales team to identify and secure new sales opportunities.
- Negotiate Effectively: Secure competitive pricing and favorable sales terms that maximize profitability.
- Pipeline Development: Build and maintain a robust network of industry contacts to generate new leads.
- Performance Reporting: Provide regular updates on sales forecasts, account statuses, and results.
- Expense Management: Monitor and manage expenses to align with budget guidelines.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed on competitor activities and market trends to maintain a competitive edge.
- Professional Representation: Uphold company policies and represent Inaba Foods with professionalism and integrity.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support team objectives.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Industry Experience: 3-7 years in the pet food industry or consumer packaged goods (CPG) environment.
- Must have Sales Management experience with Walmart head office
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and category data tools (e.g., IRI, Nielsen).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Relationship-Building: Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with large chain retailers.
- Travel Ready: Willingness to travel as needed, with the majority of time spent in the field.
- Driving Record: Valid, unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Detail-Oriented: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Office Presence: Ability to commute to the office regularly.
