Job Details
Equipment Rack building experience.
Dressing in cables/wires, labeling cables, and terminating cables (Coax and RJ45).
Hands-on experience with running wires and cables in tight spaces. Able to dress up and lay out wires in an organized manner.
Ability to identify different cable types.
Experience with network/settings configuration of equipment. These devices include switches, routers, IP-controlled infrastructure equipment, and DVR's.
Good networking experience & understanding. Understand difference between Layer 2 (MAC) and Layer 3 (IP) addresses.
Ability to document device and configuration information into an Excel spreadsheet.
Experience physically installing Rack mount equipment and devices such as STB's and switches/hubs.
Proficient in Windows OS.
Experience in MS Office. (Word/Excel required).
Configuring video, networking, and broadband equipment (cable modems).
