The Information Technology III personnel provides services as detailed below for the Project Manager Soldier Lethality (PM SL) Contract Advisory and Assistance Services Support Contract for the Army. PM SL supports Soldiers through the enhancement of current systems and development of next-generation weapons technology. The organization focuses on ensuring Soldiers are equipped with world-class weapon systems and associated target acquisition/fire-control products.
Responsibilities
Provides computer, software, equipment, and general information technology support by performing the following tasks:
- Installs, configures, and troubleshoots networked devices which include desktops, laptops, printers, digital senders, video conferencing equipment, remote displays, etc. in accordance with Army regulations.
- Installs, configures, and troubleshoots Windows based operating systems.
- Installs, configures, and troubleshoots Microsoft Office/365 products (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.), and Adobe products.
- Installs, configures, and troubleshoots DoD, Government, and Army specific applications.
- Provides application support to end users.
- Provides guidance and solutions to accommodate the customers specific needs.
- Installs, configures, and troubleshoots Mobile/Handheld products, including iPhone, Android, and associated Hotspot/network access devices.
- Installs, configures, and troubleshoots Symantec products.
- Installs, configures, and troubleshoots Device and Network Security products, including McAfee. Installs, configures, and troubleshoots Cisco VPN client.
- Patches and upgrades software security vulnerabilities.
- Backs up end user data.
- Diagnoses hardware, software, and network related errors and issues.
- Installs, configures, and troubleshoots Microsoft Outlook.
- Creates and implements images for PC/Laptop deployment.
- Tests, learns, and masters new Technological advancements.
- Implements data at rest solutions in accordance with Army and DoD policies.
- Installs and configures Host Based Security Systems.
- Manages support of IT desktop support for assigned organization.
- Performs other tasks as required to support PM-SL.
Qualifications
- Must have valid certification (at least one): A CE, CCNA-Security, Network CE, SSCP, CCNA Security, CySA , GICSP, GSEC, Security CE, or SSCP.
- Ability to pass the Army's Level I Information Assurance Security Officer online certification course.
- Ten years, hands-on experience with desktop and laptop support which includes, troubleshooting and repairing Microsoft Windows based computers and supporting applications software systems such as the Microsoft Office/365 products.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of the job, the incumbent will be exposed to normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on a computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email, and face to face. This position requires the incumbent to have the ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
