Summary
The candidate would be responsible for creating external and internal communication strategies for INB. Such strategies will support the company’s vision, with the intent of growth and relationship development. In addition, this position supports key functional groups including commercial lending, treasury services, retail banking, residential mortgage, and trust/investment services.
Requirements:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Work with the INB Executive Team to develop creative and effective ways to distribute messages to customers, employees, and the community at large. This includes managing media relationships, issuing press releases, arranging interviews, and compiling press kits.
- Responsible for the company website, and social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube. Responsible for all printed materials relating to customer communication, shareholder communications, and other electronic media to ensure branding strategies meet the company’s vision. This involves managing consistency, appropriateness and ensuring compliance has approved all communications and signage.
- Manage the development of all advertising, using outside services such as writers, designers, web developers, and advertising services as needed.
- Responsible for writing, editing, and delivering of communications that support activities through the use of metrics, analytics, and other systems; utilize such information to create monthly management reports.
- Assist in the company sales efforts by working with sales staff to prepare presentations and assist employees with community outreach. Additionally, assist in the organization of corporate customer events such as open houses and business speaker series.
- Responsible for writing and editing of communications that support the leadership team and key corporate initiatives while ensuring timely delivery of consistent and quality messages. Work with offsite consultants for design, web, and radio scripting.
- Manage the message that is delivered to customers/potential customers via signage both inside and outside the branches. This involves managing consistency, appropriateness, and compliance of that message including outdoor signs, brochures, website maintenance, and statement messages.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of internal communications strategies to keep the team focused on working together to reach our company goals.
- Resolves conflicts and facilitates changes in the structure of the marketing group to ensure objective fulfillment and swift response to marketing problems and opportunities.
- Manage the expenses for advertising, community sponsorships, contributions, and customer appreciation as to budget.
- Work with department leaders throughout the bank on various communication pieces.
- Work with Senior Management to determine the budget on an annual basis.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises department of two employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Work with teams to carry out bank-wide marketing strategies.
Qualifications
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, Marketing, or Public Relations preferred with a minimum of 10 years related experience with 3 years of progressive managerial responsibilities.
Language Skills
Demonstrate in-depth sales and marketing techniques and financial principles. Ability to effectively communicate orally, or in written form, with internal staff and external customers. Ability to read and interpret documents such as disclosures and regulatory guidelines.
Mathematical Skills
Understands basic financial principles consistent with investing, saving, and borrowing. Requires the ability to manage department budget efficiently.
Reasoning Ability
Demonstrate the ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues. High level of creativity with the ability to be proactive, flexible, and maintain a positive influence. Strong problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
Energetic and dynamic with the ability to thrive in completing routine communication deliverables while being responsive to dynamic company events.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a working knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop plus all Microsoft Office, including Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

Salary:
- $90,000.00 to $130,000.00 annually
