About the Role:
We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to provide financial, administrative and clerical services in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Accounts receivable duties include ensuring accuracy and efficiency of operations, processing and monitoring incoming payments, and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts. This individual will also be responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.

This is a full-time, hybrid position at our office located in Cerritos, CA reporting to the AR & AP Supervisor.
Essential Responsibilities:
Process and record incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
Verify discrepancies and resolve clients’ billing issues
Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted
Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
Process and confirm Expense Reports from outside departments
May be required to drive
Minimum Qualifications:
1-2 years working experience in an office
Proficiency in computer systems, specifically MS Office Suite
Hands-on experience in operating Excel spreadsheets
Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
Effective communication skills
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Bachelor’s degree
Must be able to drive and hold a valid U.S. driver’s license
Bonus Qualifications:
Experience in accounting software (or other full-scale ERP software) preferred
Understand GL accounts and cost centers
Understands compliance issues around accounts payable processes (W-9, sales tax, etc.)
