Mathematics Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join our Inca family. This is a 6th grade math position. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mathematical concepts and the ability to engage students in learning through innovative teaching methods. This role involves instructing students in various mathematical disciplines, utilizing the AZ state standards for 6th grade math, while also providing support for students with special educational needs. The Mathematics Teacher will foster a positive learning environment that encourages critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum/state standards.
• Teach a variety of mathematical topics, including but not limited to Geometry, Discrete Math, and Differential Equations.
• Provide individualized tutoring and mentoring to students who require additional support.
• Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
• Create a supportive classroom environment that promotes student participation and confidence.
• Collaborate with other educators to develop interdisciplinary projects and enhance the learning experience.
• Support students with special educational needs by adapting teaching methods as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.

Experience

• A degree in Mathematics or Education with a focus on mathematics is preferred.
• Previous experience teaching mathematics at the middle or high school level is highly desirable.
• Experience in tutoring or mentoring students in mathematical concepts is a plus.
• Ability to dissect complex mathematical problems into understandable components for students.

Pay: $40,304.00 - $56,192.00 per year
