Inca Presswood Pallets is a manufacturer of Engineered Molded Wood™ pallets, core plugs, extruded wood blocks, along with other engineered wood products located in Sardis, MS
Position Summary
The primary responsibility of the shipper is to coordinate and operate within the work area safely and efficiently. This includes the safe and efficient operation of all equipment contained within the area. The shipper ensures a quality product is provided to the customer and verifies that are fulfilled accurately. The shipper is the last person to view the product prior to delivery to the customer!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
· Accurately load quality product in a safe and efficient manner. Understand the requirements for good, quality products, alert supervision of any quality issues.
· Work area inspections including daily forklift checklists to ensure that everything is operating as expected.
· Ensure that good operating procedures are followed at all times. The shipper must know company and operating area procedures.
· Know key differences in products. Understand how to properly separate, store, and load products.
· Assists production as needed.
· Unloads shipments as directed by supervision.
· Maintains good communication with supervisor, drivers, and other employees to optimize safe and efficient operations with a minimum amount of downtime.
· Responsible for maintaining clean operations in work area (warehouse and shipping areas). Warehouse should be swept of blown out weekly.
· Record and assess required data pertaining to position and work area including BOL, and shipping website.
· Recommends changes and improvements to supervisor on the basis of experience.
· Carry out any other duties assigned by supervision.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Forklift Operation experience is required
· Must be able to perform the physical activities necessary in an active work environment such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling materials
· Lift 2-40 lbs. with some positions requiring capability of lifting 50 lbs.
· Willing to learn from well-trained coaches with your safety & development, their number one priority
· Be a part of a high producing team that investigates and solves problems with the help of their mentors and coaches

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. They must be able to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk and reach with his hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Exposure to a noisy work environment.
- Exposure to hot and humid conditions.
- Exposure to coolants, oils, grease, and water.
- Ear and Eye protection is required at all times in designated production areas.
- Steel toe boots are required at all times.
