Job Description
Under the direct supervision of the Principal, the AIS will assist students in the classroom to meet instructional goals and objectives, and assist in tutoring and lesson design, as necessary.

Essential Job Functions
- Works with students individually and in small groups to reinforce concepts and study skills as students advocate for themselves.
- Assists in classroom preparations and strategies for reinforcing instructional materials and skills according to student needs.
- Maintains good record-keeping procedures to document student learning and performance.
- Assists students with special needs in all aspects of classroom instruction to maximize inclusion, learning, and achievement of objectives.
- Participates in Catholic Accommodation Plan and serves as resource for the student evaluation team as needed.
- Collaborates with the counselors, department chairs, and academic dean to set and achieve goals.
- Participates in evaluations for the admissions of students with specific accommodations.
- Reports regularly to the principal on student progress, parent concerns, and teacher support.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree, Curriculum and Instruction
- Certified teacher
- Prior experience working with low-performing students in Math
