Responsibilities:
- Design and develop civil engineering projects, including roads, drainage systems, stormwater management, and utility design.
- Utilize CAD software to create detailed construction documentation, refine design layouts, and execute calculations.
- Analyze reports, maps, and site data to support design and development plans.
- Review and revise design drawings for quality assurance, ensuring compliance with codes and specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to meet project objectives within budget and schedule constraints.
- Bachelor’s degree in drafting technology or a related field with at least seven years of experience, or an associate degree with eight years of experience, or nine years of progressive detailing and design experience.
- Expertise in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Excel for civil design deliverables.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, design calculations, and system components.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to solve design challenges.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Experience in sediment and erosion control, traffic control, airports, or facility design.
- Knowledge of grading and excavation volume calculations.
- Familiarity with diverse civil engineering projects and multidisciplinary collaboration.
