Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze data related to raw material purchases, labor, and inventory costs.
- Analyze manufacturing costs and generate reports comparing actual costs to standard costs.
- Support management in controlling expenditures through accurate cost information.
- Perform audits of costs and prepare reports for cost control and budgeting purposes.
- Estimate costs for new or proposed products and services.
- Assist in recommending cost-saving efficiencies and process improvements.
- Develop and implement cost accounting systems.
- Provide management with detailed reports on factors influencing product pricing and profitability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost accounting or a related financial field.
- Strong understanding of cost analysis, budgeting, and cost control practices.
- Proficient in financial reporting and auditing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with cost accounting systems or financial software.
- Knowledge of manufacturing or product-based cost accounting.
- Familiarity with cost estimation for new products or services.
