Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Management: Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, ensuring productivity, professional growth, and effective collaboration across global locations.
- Gap Analysis & Strategic Planning: Perform regular gap analysis to identify areas of improvement in current IT systems and infrastructure. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop a 5-year technology roadmap that aligns with business goals.
- Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with IT vendors, ensuring proper contract negotiation, compliance, and service delivery. Monitor performance and implement necessary adjustments to meet business needs.
- Technical Expertise & Implementation:
- Manage and support both Linux and Microsoft environments to ensure seamless operations.
- Collaborate on AWS cloud initiatives, including managing cloud infrastructure and services.
- Oversee the deployment and maintenance of Cisco UCS servers.
- VMware to Competitive Tool Migration: Lead or have led a successful migration from VMware to a competitive virtualization platform, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruption.
- Global System Operations: Monitor and manage the health, performance, and security of the global IT infrastructure, ensuring operational efficiency and high uptime. Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience with Linux and Microsoft systems administration.
- Extensive experience with AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, and other AWS tools.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco UCS servers and virtualization technologies.
- Successful track record of managing large-scale IT migrations, specifically moving from VMware to alternative solutions such as Hyper-V, Nutanix, or other competitive platforms.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting gap analysis and developing long-term strategic IT roadmaps.
- Strong vendor management experience, including negotiation and performance management.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in both Linux (RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.) and Microsoft Server environments (Windows Server, Active Directory, etc.).
- Advanced knowledge of cloud-based solutions, primarily AWS, and virtualization platforms.
- Familiarity with Cisco UCS hardware management and configuration.
- Understanding of IT security best practices, disaster recovery, and backup strategies.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and guide teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to handle complex technical challenges.
