Mobile App Analyst and Tester

Compensation: $60–$75/hour

Location: Houston, Texas

Position: Mobile Application Tester

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Mobile Application Tester to join their team!

This opportunity is a 6-month contract (with strong potential for extension) supporting a digital transformation initiative. The Analyst – Tester – SaaS Solution will be embedded in a collaborative team working on the Project Connected Worker, helping ensure mobile app functionality, usability, security, and performance standards are met across platforms. This is a chance to join a fast-paced environment and contribute directly to the success of a company-wide initiative.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and test mobile applications on various platforms including iOS and Android
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and scripts for functional and usability testing
• Track and document bugs and performance issues, ensuring they are resolved efficiently
• Collaborate with development and product teams to identify root causes and validate fixes
• Review app updates and releases to ensure continued quality and security
• Contribute to the enhancement of automated testing frameworks
• Provide input on user experience and app usability
• Stay updated on current testing tools, standards, and best practices
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies and agile development processes
  
  

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• Experience testing mobile applications in a professional environment
• Familiarity with mobile app ecosystems and testing tools
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Understanding of security standards for mobile applications
  
  

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience with test automation tools and scripting
• Familiarity with Swift, Java, or Kotlin
• Software testing certifications (ISTQB, CSTE, etc.)
• Exposure to performance and/or security testing
