Patient Account Representative 1

Compensation: $20.00 - $22.00

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Patient Account Representative to join their team! This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced healthcare professional with a strong background in medical billing, claims processing, and reimbursement analysis. The ideal candidate will have expertise in resolving claim issues, working with Medicare and Medicaid, and handling a high volume of calls in a fast-paced, call center-like environment. This role is perfect for someone eager to grow, highly professional, and capable of working independently with minimal direction.

Responsibilities:

• Handle insurance claims processing, denials, and reimbursement analysis to ensure accurate and timely payment.
• Manage claim status inquiries and resolve outstanding billing issues with insurance providers and patients.
• Take approximately 30-40 calls daily from patients and over 40 calls from insurance providers.
• Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits through various channels, including online portals and direct communication with insurance companies.
• Submit and manage claims with insurance carriers, ensuring compliance with current billing requirements.
• Reconcile patient accounts, track outstanding balances, and follow up on unpaid claims.
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and internal teams to address billing concerns.
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and other operational discussions to enhance efficiency.
  
  

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in medical billing, medical collections, or medical billing systems.
• Extensive knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, HMO/PPOs, and traditional insurance plans.
• Ability to manage a high call volume while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
  
  

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience reading and interpreting Explanations of Benefits (EOBs).
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
