Responsibilities:
- Serve as the financial business partner to Project Managers, providing insights and ensuring projects align with financial goals.
- Oversee revenue and cost recognition in compliance with IFRS Percentage-of-Completion (POC) accounting.
- Develop, maintain, and update financial forecasts, ensuring timely updates to reflect changes in project scope and budget.
- Identify and assess financial risks, proposing mitigation strategies to minimize exposure.
- Prepare and deliver financial reports, including variance analysis, highlighting key performance drivers.
- Conduct in-depth cost analysis, identifying opportunities to improve gross margins and optimize cost control measures.
- Manage and oversee capital expenditures (CAPEX), ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
- Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring alignment with financial plans and addressing deviations proactively.
- Collaborate with finance, project management, and operations teams to ensure financial objectives are met.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, IFRS regulations, and maintain strong internal controls.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve financial processes related to project management and cost reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in project controlling, financial analysis, or accounting.
- Experience in project-based industries such as manufacturing, construction, or engineering.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting standards, particularly POC accounting.
- Proven experience in CAPEX management and financial reporting.
- Professional accounting certification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and MS Excel.
- Experience working with ERP systems.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
