Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial data and supporting materials for high-value commercial loans exceeding $10 million in aggregate debt
- Partner with commercial bankers to gather necessary documentation and perform deeper reviews when additional details are required
- Conduct industry research to stay informed on market trends and conditions relevant to the loan portfolio
- Collaborate on loan proposals, assess customer creditworthiness, and contribute to credit memorandums for committee reviews
- Engage directly with clients during credit analysis processes to ensure thorough evaluations
- Identify opportunities to enhance internal credit and lending processes through recommendations to leadership
- Track financial covenant compliance and manage ongoing monitoring of technical exceptions
- Produce reports forecasting industry outlooks and associated risks
- Deliver detailed concentration reports to support strategic planning for upcoming business cycles
- Prepare various financial oversight reports, including LTV analyses, officer stock portfolios, and covenant tracking
- Support and potentially lead junior credit analysts through mentoring and training
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent professional experience in lending, finance, or accounting
- Completion of 9 hours of college-level accounting or equivalent specialized training in financial analysis or underwriting
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a credit analyst or commercial loan underwriter
- Experience with advanced financial modeling or forecasting tools
- Prior supervisory or mentorship responsibilities in a credit analysis environment
- Knowledge of banking policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management practices
