Tax Managing Director

Incendia Partners is supporting a leading public accounting firm as they hire a Tax Managing Director. The firm is large but locally owned and has an excellent reputation in the Greater Boston business community.

This is a newly created / add-to-staff role as the firm grows its presence in the Non-profit sector. While the Tax Managing Director will have exposure to a broad array of clients from global corporations to start-ups and closely held businesses, they will have a special focus on NPO’s.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by offering industry expertise and knowledge
• Lead tax planning, compliance, and consulting services to clients with complex tax and business needs
• Manage client communications and relationships
• Act as a subject matter expert to the firm and other engagement teams for technical matters impacting the NPO sector
• Work closely with engagement teams to continually add value to clients
• Provide training, development, and mentorship to staff

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required
• Active CPA license is required
• Master’s Degree in Accounting or Taxation is desired
• 15 plus years of experience
• Extensive experience with clients in the NPO sector
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication, both written and verbal
• Possess excellent client relationship management skills
• Strong research skills and ability to provide guidance to clients and the internal firm staff
• Experience with ProSystem fx Tax and CCH Intelliconnect or similar is desired
