Provides top-level strategic executive leadership oversight, vision, and direction and acts as a key advisor for the enterprise's information systems infrastructure and operations in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and best practices.

EXPECTATIONS

  • Acts as the top-level officer and advisor to the executive leadership team and Board of Directors with primary accountability for the enterprise-wide information systems strategy, infrastructure, and operations.
  • Participates in the formulation of general management policy as a member of the Executive management team.
  • Establishes and leads execution of strategic plans to align enterprise technology infrastructure and capabilities aligned with organizational busines strategies that leverage current knowledge and future vision (e.g. business model design, business process re-engineering, operational improvements, etc.) and support for the stated corporate mission.
  • Provides strategic direction and oversight for the design, development, operation, and support of information systems (e.g. enterprise architecture, applications, security and risks, and infrastructure and operations support).
  • Sets priorities and sequence for company portfolios and projects.
  • Oversees implementation and launch of new systems and integrated vendor solutions.
  • Influences and negotiates cost-effective and innovative solutions to achieve business goals and minimize security risks.
  • Provides final approval of capital purchases for technology infrastructure, applications, and staffing requirements.
  • Directs vendor sourcing and manages administrative contracts for information services vendors; provides executive oversight of vendor partnerships and relationships.
  • Provides final approval for strategic information infrastructure plans; organizes and leads testing and execution of systems architecture designs and implementation plans.
  • Monitors the execution of strategic plans for disaster recovery, business continuity, and related functions to ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and accessibility.
  • Drives technology risk and change management priorities by analyzing and evaluating results against plans to anticipate and mitigate risks aligned with strategic goals.
  • Develops and monitors adherence to operational and strategic forecasts, capital and operating budgets, and long-range plans to allocate resources and maintain cost controls in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Directs the development and production of reporting tools, key performance metrics, and policies used to analyze and identify trends in operating expenses, project spending, headcount, and risks / opportunities.
  • Proactively addresses and resolves conflict and helps others navigate ambiguity to determine effective courses of action.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations, standards of conduct, ethics, and related policies and procedures to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.
  • Maintains awareness of both the external and internal competitive landscape to maintain up-to-date.
  • Manages cross-functional teams to accomplish results through effective recruitment, selection, training, development, performance management and recognition; holds direct reports accountable for developing staff competency in their areas of responsibility.
  • Provides and supports recognition for organizational leaders and key contributors.

EDUCATION - REQUIRED

  • BS - Bachelor of Sciences
  • EDUCATION - FIELD(S) / PROFESSION(S)

  • Computer Science, Engineering, or related
  • EDUCATION - PREFERRED

  • MBA - Master of Business Administration
  • EXPERIENCE / SKILLS

  • Must have at least ten years of managerial experience in IT, five plus years as a Chief Information Officer.
  • Experience running IT organizations in a large Financial Services company.
  • Mortgage experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal, written and presentation.
  • Current knowledge of industry guidelines and procedures as well as federal, state and local regulations.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other senior managers in order to define, articulate and champion the ways in which technology requirements relate to the firm's business.
  • Knowledge of mortgage banking.
  • Strong Analytical skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Highly organized.
  • Multi-tasking and prioritization skills necessary.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment under time constraints.
