Data Steward

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Steward to play a critical role in managing and ensuring the quality, consistency, and governance of our organization’s data assets. As a Data Steward, you will act as a bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring that data is accurate, accessible, and aligned with organizational goals. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of data, enabling informed decision-making, and supporting data-driven strategies.

Key Responsibilities :

Data Quality Management :

Monitor and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data across systems.

• Identify and resolve data discrepancies and inconsistencies through collaboration with relevant teams.

Data Governance :

Implement and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices.

Data Policy Compliance :

Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational data policies (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA).

Stakeholder Collaboration :

Partner with business units, data owners, and IT teams to define and document data requirements.

Data Lifecycle Management :

Oversee the lifecycle of critical data assets, including acquisition, usage, and retirement.

Training and Awareness :

Educate and train staff on data governance principles, data quality standards, and proper data usage.

Qualifications :

Education and Experience :

Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

Technical Skills :

Proficiency in data management tools (e.g., Informatica, Collibra, Alation) and relational databases (e.g., SQL).

Knowledge and Competencies :

Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices.

Soft Skills :

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
