POSITION OVERVIEW
The Credit Counselor empowers clients to achieve their financial goals and attain long-term stability by providing comprehensive debt management solutions. This role involves conducting financial counseling sessions to guide clients toward becoming debt-free, analyzing credit reports, income, expenses, and assets to develop personalized strategies, and offering educational resources to enhance financial literacy. By delivering compassionate support and actionable recommendations, the Credit Counselor helps clients create realistic, sustainable plans for managing debt effectively
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
In a high-volume in bound call-center environment :
Required
- Required : 1-2 years of customer service experience.
- Proven relationship-building skills with empathy and professionalism.
- Ability to motivate, influence, and assist clients in improving their financial situations.
- Positive attitude and enjoyment in helping others, regardless of individual differences.
- Stellar work ethic with the ability to prioritize tasks, follow through, and maintain good attendance.
- Proficiency in operating systems, internet browsers, Microsoft Office Suite, and multitasking across multiple programs.
- Technical skills, including typing 25 words per minute and learning new software.
- Must have dedicated at home office space with high-speed internet service
- Ability to be flexible with schedule, available nights, weekends and holidays
