Roadside Assistance Driver / MDOT's Freeway Courtesy Patrol
Full Time, Part Time and Weekend Shifts Available
IncidentClear is seeking out individuals who possess motivation, a desire to serve, and those who have a history of service to others to be a part of MDOT's Freeway Courtesy Patrol (FCP).
IncidentClear's FCP drivers provide rapid response clearance of disabled vehicles and removal of road debris while patrolling Detroit Metro’s most highly traveled roadways. Under the FCP program, FCP drivers will assist motorists and keep highways safe by performing services including but not limited to:
Servicing disabled vehicles by providing fuel, oil, and other system fluids;
Clearing stranded vehicles and debris from driving lanes;
Changing or inflating tires;
Making minor mechanical repairs;
Securing the area around your vehicle;
Transporting motorists to a safe location;
Providing cell phone assistance;
Transporting stranded motorists;
and providing directions.
HOURS:
FCP drivers operate 24/7 365 excluding major holidays. Shifts available during peak and non peak hours.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Maintain willingness and ability to serve others
- Possess knowledge or willingness to learn the incident management discipline
- Have a safe driving record with a current Michigan driver's license.
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Be able to lift 60 pounds
- Pass a criminal background check and driver license investigation (no felony convictions)
- Pass a background check
- Pass a pre-employment and an annual random drug test
- Possess certification in first-aid or willingness to obtain certification
- Possess knowledge of basic automotive mechanics
- Possess sound judgment in carrying out their duties and conduct themselves in such a manner that will reflect favorably upon IncidentClear and MDOT.
