Corporate Controller
Incline P&C is now hiring an enthusiastic, solution-oriented Corporate Controller to lead their Corporate Accounting group. Incline is a growing property and casualty insurance carrier operating nationwide across multiple lines of business. This role will report directly to the Vice President of Finance & Accounting and will support innovation by integrating systems to increase efficiency across the finance and accounting function. The Corporate Controller will implement strong and efficient processes, internal controls, and ensure US GAAP and NAIC compliance. This role is responsible for daily accounting operations by directing workflow, managing accounting staff, and coordinating with senior leadership. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills and a knack for creating efficiencies.

Responsibilities
- Own the financial close process and recording of business transactions across multiple entities. Establish close calendar for timely monthly close.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principles
- Support Financial Reporting in the preparation and analysis of US GAAP consolidated financial statements and other reporting.
- Review quarterly and annual statutory filings.
- Develop and implement policy improvements and procedures. Make recommendations and assist with implementation of technology improvements.
- Collaborate with Treasury and provide oversight for investments and timely cash flow forecasts.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing, including account reconciliation, accrual schedules, and journal entries.
- Lead, direct, and develop the Corporate Accounting team. Drive efficiency to keep up with evolving business demands.
- Collaborate with FP&A on activities such as budget development, forecasting, and reporting on KPIs.
- Provide timely and accurate financial reports to senior management.
- Coordinate external audit and tax preparation efforts.
- Special projects as assigned.
- Property and casualty or other insurance industry experience.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business.
- CPA license.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in managerial accounting roles (VP, Assistant Controller, Director, etc.).
- Advanced knowledge of excel.
- Proficiency with Workday,EAS, QuickBooks or other ERP softwareResults-oriented with strong leadership skills.
- Able to keep abreast of industry changes, legal updates, and technical developments related to the accounting function and the company's business.
