We are seeking a Purchasing Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience developing purchasing strategies, negotiating contracts, managing vendors, monitoring and managing inventory levels, and forecasting needs to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
This is a fulltime position working Monday through Friday from 8:00am until 4:30pm. We offer competitive pay, health and dental insurance, paid company holidays, paid time off, and a 401K retirement plan.
Job Summary:
Provide leadership and oversight of the sourcing and acquiring of materials, supplies and services. Develop purchasing strategies, policies, and procedures, research suppliers, negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships, and ensure purchases align with company goals and objective. Work in collaboration with engineering, planning, and production teams in monitoring and managing inventory levels and forecasting needs to prevent production delays.
Primary responsibilities include:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field and 7 years of procurement or purchasing management experience, ideally in manufacturing, or the equivalent combination of education and experience; strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills; proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite; effective at prioritization and working independently in a challenging, fast-paced environment, and experience with ERP/MRP systems are required.

- Manage the entire procurement process, from supplier selection to contract negotiation and purchase order management.
- Identify and implement purchasing systems and tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance purchasing efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and align purchasing activities with company goals.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies.
- Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and competitive pricing.
- Monitor inventory levels, analyze demand patterns, and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock and minimize excess or shortages.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all purchasing activities.
- Prepare reports on purchasing metrics and trends for senior management.
